With the rapid change away from grip waxes containing fluorocarbon, Vauhti has been busy well before that happened by research into new competitive formulations. The Pure line of glide waxes from Vauhti have been performing at a high level, and it was only a matter of time before Vauhti brought out grip waxes in the non-fluorinated PURE line. Given the nature of today’s race courses, and the value of having grip waxes designed for specific snow crystal types, the Vauhti Race grip waxes are targeted at old, artificial, or coarse snow, while the Pro series is formulated for new, natural, or fine grained snow.
